OBJECTIVE:

Standerton victim empowerment Improve the online reputation of GBV Support Alliance by promoting awareness about gender-based violence, engaging survivors and allies, and addressing negative content effectively.

I. REPUTATION ANALYSIS:

Conduct a comprehensive audit of our current online reputation, including social media platforms, review sites, news articles, and blogs. Identify existing positive and negative content.

II. SET CLEAR OBJECTIVES:

  • Enhance public understanding of GBV issues.
  • Create a supportive online community for survivors.
  • Counter misinformation and address negative content.
  • Increase engagement and advocacy among supporters.

III. CONTENT CREATION AND PROMOTION:

Develop a content strategy that includes:

·        Educational articles and resources about GBV.

·        Inspirational survivor stories (with consent).

·        Highlights of our organization's achievements.

·        Awareness campaigns and event promotion.

Regularly update our website with fresh content.

IV. SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT:

  • Maintain active and engaged social media profiles on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  •  Share educational posts, survivor stories, and relevant news.
  •  Respond to comments and messages within 24 hours.
  •  Utilize appropriate hashtags and engage with trending topics.

 

 

V. CRISIS RESPONSE PLAN:

  • Develop a crisis response plan for handling negative content and potential crises.   
  • Designate a crisis response team responsible for timely and empathetic responses
  • Ensure that responses align with our organization's values and messaging.

VI. ENGAGE WITH YOUR AUDIENCE:

  • Actively engage with our online audience by responding to comments, questions, and feedback.
  •  Foster a positive and respectful online environment.
  • Express gratitude to supporters for their contributions.

VII. Online Community Building:

  • Create a Facebook Group for survivors and allies to share their experiences, support each other, and engage in advocacy efforts.
  • Encourage user-generated content, such as testimonials and stories of empowerment.

VIII. ONLINE REPUTATION REPAIR:

  •  Monitor online conversations for negative content.
  • Assess whether negative content warrants a response.
  • Address concerns and provide accurate information transparently.

IX. DATA ANALYSIS AND FEEDBACK:

  • Regularly monitor and analyze our ORM efforts.
  • Gather feedback from survivors, supporters, and stakeholders to inform strategy adjustments.

XI. Partnerships and Collaborations:

  • Explore partnerships with other GBV organizations, influencers, and advocates to expand our online presence and impact.
  •  Collaborate on awareness campaigns and educational initiatives.
